Rich Dickinson's Driving Force is a Stroud-based power rock band. While frontman Rich has recently become a media fixture as the owner of the mighty Jimi Hendrix's Marshall amp, his band has been headlining gigs across the country for years. Driving Force recently released an album entitled Piece of my Heart on New York label The Orchard, with the now-legendary Hendrix amp making a guest appearance on one of the tracks.

Rich has been gigging since the late 70s, spending ten years with his previous trio KAOS who gigged throughout Europe. He has also been used for various session work including supplying the guitar track for TV Shows such as the Glastonbury Festival. 2006 brought a change in lineup and Rich has been joined by Dave Setchfield and Tom Bezer. Dave (bass/vocals) was a member of renowned guitarist Dave Sharman's band in the early nineties, when the band recorded an album with producer Kit Woolven. Since then Dave has gigged all over the UK with ex members of Ozzy Osbourne band and The Sweet in The Binmen, and most recently with London based trio Fern - with whom he's recorded two albums.

20 year old Tom completes the new lineup, and is said to have brought a refreshing edge to the music with his Funk and Jazz influenced style of Rock Drumming. The band are aided and abetted by sound engineer/manager/Rich's son Jamie Dickinson, lighting man Kian and roadie Diamond Dave. |
