 The Prodigy

The Prodigy performance highlights clip

After smashing BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in May, the neo-punks returned to Glastonbury to cause a scene that simulated an early-1990s rave. Providing a big beat finale on the Other stage, they counter-balanced Blur's indie-rock antics on the Pyramid stage.

As one of only 3 or 4 acts actually worth seeing at this years festival (shame on those who sort the line up), it is astonishing that the BBC has given the Prodigy such little coverage! I was looking forward to seeing more of them. How come Blur got so much coverage??????? Ok, they were headlinig the main stage, but anyone could see, that having not played gigs together for so long, it was at best an average performance from an average band!
Also, way to much coverage of utter utter rubbish. i.e. Lilly Allen, Lady Ga Ga to name but two talentless acts that kept getting repeated!!!!!
The Prodigy were the best act there by light years, their full set should have seen shown!

Will try and be more polite this time, as my last comment was blocked - have had a good look through most of the other acts which have coverage on your site and have noticed that the Prodigy have less than half the coverage of ANY other act and was wondering how an 'Act' for example like a Mr P Docherty merits 33mins of coverage bearing in mind that he hasn't sold 15million albums and hasn't been performing for 19yrs and may have trouble remebering lyrics sometimes.
I then proceded to ask BBC to go somewhere and mentioned something about Clownshoes and the wearing of.
Anyway, sort your coverage out BBC, let the air time reflect the Talent and Success.

    *complaints procedure*
    Hi everyone.
Well it seems we're in agreement about the BBCs poor coverage of The Prodigy this year.
Can I ask everybody who feels the same please fill in the BBCs official complaints form. It only takes a minute and it means your voice will be properly heard over this very isolated comments forum.
Just google for the BBC complaints procedure, as we're not allowed to put URLs on these comments!
Just click 'make a complaint' and make sure its sensible, not ranty, no swearing, just make the point about the poor coverage or they'll just dismiss your comments as those of a madman.
Long Live The Prodigy! Just listen to that crowd reaction when FireStarter came on, I'm pretty sure Blur never got that reaction!

Stop compalining about the coverage and acutally buy yourself a ticket next year. While not as good as last year, the festival produced some golden moments that I will cherish forever, particularly Blur doing Parklife. Glad I chose them over The Prodigy.

I was there, right up at the front :) it did get a bit messy, but it was a hell of a rave :)

And to the guy who said he was glad he chose Blur, of course you are, but you dont realy have anything to compare it too, seeing as though you wherent there for the atmosphere, and the closest you can get is a tiny 13min clip of a few of their songs.

from watching the bigger Blur section, they did seem very good, and it was a shame they overlapped, but ah well, Prodigy all the way!!!

I agree with comments relating to awful coverage of The Prodigy and the whole festival in general. I appreciate there is only so much you can show on the main TV channels, but on the red button and website I should be able to see live streaming from every stage whenever I want to. The red button coverage was not live and if the website can have streaming webcams then it can show full coverage The BBC never show comprehensive enough coverage of the festival and seem more interested in justifying the salaries paid to the multitude of presenters than showing us what we want - live music!

I have made an official complaint and everyone else should too. Go to: http://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/

It's about time the producers of the coverage were held to account.

The thing is, blur were on at the same time, so all the coverage was on them.

And having seen a few highlights of the prodigy, they may have a better album then pendulum, but they are certainly not as good as pendulum live.
