 Pete Doherty

Glastonbury has proven a favoured venue for the solo stylings of the inimitable Mr. Doherty since his surprise appearance in 2007's Park stage. On Saturday he performed an afternoon set on the Other stage after much speculation as to whether he would indeed turn up.

Good performance from Docherty and his band. There is something beguiling about his performances, don't quite know what it is.

He is a paired back artist. His songs lull you into a state of well being :)

Always respectful to his fans when I have seen him.

      A talent worth persevering with.

Absolutely fantastic performance. This was Peter at close to his best and English music is all the better for it.

Hopefully next year we will see Peter back at Glastonbury for a performance with The Libertines who are one of the seminal bands of the past 20 years.

The guy "John" who he brings on stage is from a liverpool band called "The pedantics" I think they've recently split up but he's a great talent and wrote the song.

      Brilliant set.

The guy on 'I Am the Rain' is John Robinson of Liverpool ex-band The Bandits. John largely co-wrote the song.

I really enjoyed this set. First time I've seen Dockers at Glasto playing to his full power; flies done up, eyes clear, and obviously enjoying it. Long may it continue, and hats off to Stephen Street for not only doing a Coxie, but pulling off the Time For Heroes solo. :)

Favourite highlights this year were, Madness, Blur, Peter Doherty, The Prodigy...

Great show from Pete, but then again never seen him play poor (or turn up late or cancel). Shame the red tops still hound him though. Had to laugh at the daily Q newspaper handed out @ the festival claiming Pete was so "spaced out" during his set that he could barely stand. Pete definitely up there with Jarvis, Specials and Kasabian as my Festival Bests!
