 Lily Allen

Lily's got more of a connection to the festival than most of the personalities who appear in tabloid newspapers. She's been coming to Glastonbury Festival with her father Keith since she was a toddler, eventually debuting on the Pyramid Stage in 2007. Last time round she duetted with The Specials' Terry Hall and went partying in the Greenfields with Arctic Monkey Alex Turner, dressed as an animal. 2009 sees her sound moving away from Ska and towards smoother synth-pop, expect shock-tactic lyrics to a dance beat.

It is a shame she is lazy with her often poor diction and use of the English language! Well produced, good pop but spoilt by her self indulgence, huge ego and hang ups on sex. Apart from that I like her music!!,

Poor diction? I can hear every word, which is more than can be said of most of today's performers.
As blockheadury said - "Ian Dury would be proud. It's a laugh at life".
The songs are well written both lyrically and musically, she has a kickin' band, and she looks great!!

Being from a generation that thought up the outdoor rock festival idea it was a real pleasure to see true rock icons like Neil Young & CSN. But Neil Young............... what a performer, a serious musician but not taking himself seriously, empathy and mischief making with the audience, what a fantastic, trip-tastic, mescal-otic, otherness & yes I'm going to use the phrase..... "Far out"performance. Let's all keep on Rocking in the Free World!!!

Glastonbury used to be about an entire generation sticking 2 fingers up at a political movement globally for the injustices they committed. It was about a suppressed voice being heard.
Now its Lilly Allen looking like a fairy singing about her lack of sexual pleasure. Its now about cocaine, money, stabbing and crime. If Hendrix was alive today he would probably take up knitting its that weak at Glastonbury these days.

Just wish I was born 2 decades earlier so I could appreciate REAL music.

Firstly, these people complaining about her smoking, can you all please lobby the BBC to get Eastenders banned, as it shows people drinking alcohol, therefore encourages young people to drink. And if its your lungs you are worried about, ban cars and dont go to airports.
And, brightdannyboy1, I am a massive Hendrix fan, but I am also a big Lily Allen fan. Talent is talent, and good music is good music. Too many people get stuck in a genre and then get become musicial snobs about anything not in that genre. If you are a true music fan, there are no genres.
