2002's Pulp hiatus has cultivated a new era of creativity from the Sheffield singer, which has seen Cocker present 6 Music, curate London's Meltdown festival and launch a Parisian art exhibition. Music fans have been treated to 2006's critically acclaimed Jarvis and recent follow up Further Complications. Watch him on the John Peel stage.

Where's the full set? Why do we have to have an edited down version?

Great performance - I wish I could be more expansive but Jarvis Cocker and the band are so eloquent there's nothing more I can add.

When was he on? Friday or Saturday, and which is the 'yank' in question?

The 'Yank' is Bruce Springsteen!!

He was fantastic. He was headlining Saturday night, in the John Peel tent. He was on at the same time as Springsteen, Franz Ferdinand, The Wonder Stuff, 2ManyDJs, Stereo MC's, among others. It was a tricky night for deciding who to see!
We chose Jarvis, and we were blown away. I was expecting the surly arrogant person I'd seen ont telly and in the news, but he was truly spectacular! One of my Glastonbury 2009 highlights for sure.
I can't believe what a great dancer he is, either! Can't say I'd looked at Jarvis Cocker as sexy, until seeing him live! Oh yeah.
