Long awaited new album Kingdom Of Rust has garnered favourable reviews from many quarters. Its hammering drums and anthemic sound sets the Cheshire trio perfectly for an assault on the summer festival circuit, which begins with this Glastonbury return. Veteran fans will also be on the look out for early career highlights such as Pounding, Sky Starts Falling and There Goes The Fear.

I guarantee that if you visit the John Peel Stage on Friday night, you won't be disappointed.
Doves will play all the old favourites - 'Black and White Town', 'Pounding' and 'There Goes The Fear' to name but a few.
But if you're lucky enough to be there come the end of the set, then 'Spaceface' will most definitely blow you away.
You lucky people.

Seen some very thin acts at Glastonbury this year but the Doves performance was not !
The bit the BBC did show was full of raw emotion and energy. The band looked completely blown away by the reaction of the crowd reaction to pounding. The classics of Black and white town, cedar room, there goes the fear and king of rust were performed excellently. Think the band were right to headline the John peel stage and not get lost on the bland mediocre of some other stages. They must put out a live album soon!!

The boys were fantastic. The fact that they played Cedar Room after previously saying that they would never play it again while on tour made it all the more special. An awesome set. Cheers.
