David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash wrote the soundtrack to 1960s counter-culture, as well as the turbulent 1970s with their reflective folk rock collaborations. Congregated from members of The Byrds, The Hollies and Buffalo Springfield, they influenced a generation of acoustic songwriters from their haven of Laurel Canyon, California. Following a resurgence in the CS&N blueprint with 'Nu Folk' groups like Tunng, Fleet Foxes and Laura Marling, their appearance at Glastonbury will show the young pretenders where it all came from.

If anyone out there gets the chance to speak to Graham Nash before their performance tomorrow please ask him to sing 'Cathedral' for my daughter Carrie. It would make her Glasto and she didn't think she would be able to go this year having just been diagnosed with breast cancer.
thanks

I missed them on tv yesterday but though never mind
theres allways the online content.
However i'm now thouroughly fustrated to find the footage cut
down to 28 mins and all my favorite tracks removed.
What the hell is wrong with the BBC surely its easyer
to play the whole clip than to have to make pointless edits. If the clips too long then make it 2 parts.
Does anyone else find this coverage utterly infuriating?
online content sould be extended but we get patronising filtering of any track thats not a big hit.

We have to be grateful that they are all still alive.
It is a miracle they are still here.
Graham, give our regards to Joni, hope she is well.

CSN, Thank you guys for 40 wonderful years of music! Thanks too for coming to Glastonbury. It just takes you back to Woodstock.
Please BBC give us the whole concert.

The moment where Steve Stills cut loose on guitar in 'Long Time Comin' was amazing.
You got the feeling that the whole audience up until that point had been thinking, 'yeah, well, bunch of old has beens' and then suddenly the whole vibe changed.
It's a shame the poor old chap's voice has deserted him, but his guitar playing is as fiery and inventive as ever.
Took me back 40 odd years. It was little short of a miracle to see them, and still great, with such classic songs.
And yes, I too would like to see the whole footage.
How about it BBC?

I really enjoyed CSN , the best thing so far although there were other acts I enjoyed very much . I love the laid back feel of a group like CSN allowing Stephen Stills the opportunity to play some amazing guitar , 'Long Time Comin' in particular was amazing.
And yes, I too would like to see the whole footage.
How about it BBC? I would buy a DVD if it was made available.

Joy - one of my all time most favourite bands in the universe since they first formed 40 years ago. Watched it last night on BBC3 and again today on i-player. It would be good to see the whole thing on i-player but - whilst instrumentally they were never anything other than sheer perfection - some of the harmonies live were - to put it mildly - a bit rough. Seems like the BBC have put the vocal "best bits: up which is probably a good thing.

I am just mega disappointed that you have cut the coverage of Crosby Stills and Nash, would particularly have liked to have enjoed nos 8, 14 and 15 on the playlist.

There is simply not enough coverage of this event. There never has been. Please do something about it.
Please BBC.....your schedule for the weekends is terminally dull...nothing for creative minds, nothing exciting...we don't all want bland, regurgitated, pre-digested pap on TV, we want excitement, now things, LIVE things.....
Just one example....Neil Young deserves to be seen whole, complete, and live...please don't just wait for deaths before you pay attention to the living and the lively.

Thank heavens for Glastonbury and the BBC for giving us the opportunity to see real music being played by Giants .Crosby,Stills and Nash filled the stage and showed what a music festival is about.

Great to see this footage - wish I could have been there. Steve Stills' guitar playing was an absolute highlight of the three day.
