What time are they on today?

'..The band's headline set will be Blur fans' first chance to see the reunited quartet perform together, before gigs in London's Hyde Park in July..'
unless you live the 'regions' but i guess we don't count!!
p.s - on top form in Manchester - hopefully the guest appearance will be as manic as well

What are you playing at??? In the middle of an awesome Blur live set you cut away to show some other highlights!
Get a grip: shove the highlights package on red button, repeat it aftern midnight on 2 and LET US WATCH BLUR LIVE!

I think alot of people have forgotten how good Blur are. Headline at Glastonbury is easily justified. Can anyone name a band from the last 10 years with a similar variety of songs?

Why on earth have you interrupted transmission of Blur's set?

And again - you cut away from Blur mid-set!
The BBC2 programme is advertised as showing the Blur set.
BBC3 are meant to be showing Prodigy. What are you doing showing them on 2?
Why can't I even watch Blur uninterupted on red button? This is just stupidity.
I pay my licence fee: I expect better editorial decisions.

for gods sake - this is ridiculous your listing are not being managed effectively for the fans i am soooooo dissapointed

just been watching blur set-amazing but why oh why have they performed nearly every song about 3 times faster than the originals???????
For me, has completely taken the edge off the nostalgia of the performance.

They cut away as Blur have asked for the whole set not to be shown live as they want to keep some new stuff back for people when they play at Hyde Park (think thats where they are playing) on their comeback tour. Jo Wylie said this during the first break!
Absolutely superb set!

Exactly. They made it perfectly clear why they couldn't show the entire set. I can't stand it when people use the argument, "I pay my license fee so I expect all BBC content to be exactly tailored to my personal preferences."
The BBC Glasto coverage may not be perfect but compared to the abysmal festival coverage you get on ITV and Channel 4 where you're lucky if you even get an entire song it is excellent.

my god...
complains, complaints, complaints...
i don't get some people sometimes..
a couple of weeks back ITV covered the Isle of Wight festival.. 3 day festival, 1hr 5 mins coverage each day, including advert breaks repeated the next afternoon...
you were lucky if you saw 2 songs by the 'headline' act
this glastonbury coverage has been astounding, considering the amount of music that's actually been played there... you do know glasto basically has 9 stages.. even if you went there you couldn't see everything!
it's been on BBC2, BBC3, BBC4 and at times 4 interactive channels, plus completely viewable on the internet and you're moaning becuase they didn't show the full 2 hour Blur set, even though they said they would love to but were asked not to by blur!..

I think the coverage of everything other than Prodigy was truly spectacular, I personally had no interest in seeing Blur but that was all that was on last night, so I wouldn't complain too much, there are some very disppointed Prodigy fans out there!

It's not that the sets were interrupted , we actually got an explanation for interruption last night after all the complaints on here, and presumably elsewhere, the problem is that we were all set up by the promotion of the beeb coverage to expect headliners' live sets.
It's disingenuous to suggest that because ITV and Ch4 aren't very good at this then we should be grateful for the beeb's morsels dropped to our floor. The 2 presenters last night actually said that we should watch what was on offer as they wanted to get back to watch Blur.
I switched it all off and went into the garden to calm down.
And we don't have advertising on the beeb?
Self promotion that appears to deceive / misslead should be moderated and reviewed.
I've asked Radio 4's feedback programme to investigate, but I'm not sute this is the right place as beeb website is like topsy!
Every programme and presenter seems to have their own pages, blogs and contact details and it's hard to know how the different bits of the enormous beeb connect.

Disappointed that they cut away from Blur, but can (just about) understand the band's reasoning. More annoying was the presenters' relentless use of superlatives. A-may-zing! Best EVER!

This video player is rubbish!
Watch 5-6 seconds, pause, watch 2-3 seconds, pause, watch 4-5 second, pause, repeat...
Why can't it pre-load like *whisper* YouTube?

I heard the coverage was interrupted was at the request of the band.leaving something for the fans at Hyde Park
and I thought the coverage and the website has been great. I couldn't be bothered to go so thanks very much to who ever set the whole thing up very enjoyable.

I saw them in Manchester on friday and was completely blown away, seeing them last night was just as good i have no problem with the BBC's coverage and i fully respect blur not wanting them to show the whole set because of Hyde Park. The last song the Universal is my fave blur song and it was quite emotional at the end even Jo Whiley was welling up. I really hope they record another album together Graham Coxon has always been the one that has said he would never do this this and has slated early records but last night you could see him enjoying himself im thinking the crowds reaction last night must have made him realise that Blur are such an important band and i think i speak for us all when i say that we would love to hear new material from them. As for Damon Albarn his energy is unreal he was bouncing around like a 21 year old very entertaining to watch.

why have you cut out some of the tracks? To The End is reported by the press as being one of the most emotional performances of the festival and you DIDN'T SHOW IT!!! Dropped the ball there didn't we aunty??

Oh my god!!! Watching Blur last night I felt like I was 18 again with the world at my feet!!! Awesome performance and The Universal was very emotional ending! Cant believe its 14 years ago now!
Really wish I was seeing them in Hyde Park now! Hope its released on DVD.
As for the BBC coverage of Glastonbury... cant beleive people are complaining. It gets better each year! BBC1, 2, 3 & 4 brilliant! Other channels could learn from this sort of coverage!

Blur were mint....I was the idiot below the South Korean flag in the mosh, trying to hold the slippy bubble machine in the air, and five small Korean girls with it. The bubbles added a bit for a while till it tilted me to a slippy wetness,,, ,anyone get any photos?? would be much appreciated. the machine went off with big smiles to South Korea, great meeting you girls...bye Mr David
