Caroline Thorp (vocals), Neil Dallow (bass) and Andrew Hodson (drums) formed The 1, 2, 3, 4s as an offshoot trio of The Matinee Orchestra in 2007. With the addition of Beats for Beginners guitarist Mike TV, the band's sound was sealed in 2008. Since then, the four piece have been building their live experience, playing at Salford's Sounds From The Other City and London's Metro. They quickly attracted the attention of BBC Manchester Introducing, who labelled their orchestral indie pop "sumptuous and sexy". They've also been played by 6 Music's Tom Robinson.
