In 2007, Winehouse's Pyramid stage performance was an explosion of soul, funk, r&b and ska. She interspersed hits from her own album Back To Black with classics like Toots and the Maytals 'Monkey Man and Sam Cooke's Cupid.
In 2008, she returned to the Pyramid stage on Saturday night, performing in her own imitable style before headliner Jay-Z.
On booking Amy Winehouse and recent media attention focused on her, Emily Eavis was quoted by Radio 1's Newsbeat as saying "she's brilliant performer who can deliver. When she plays live, it's extraordinary and that's what we should focus on."

Amy, while unpredictable, proved why she is such an attraction at Glastonbury on Saturday night.Top quality, even from the back.

She was amazing live at Glastonbury, I think that she is a troubled soul but she has a wonderful talent that we should all recognise and appreciate. Love ya Amy!!!

Was I watching a different Amy Winehouse performance on Saturday to that of the reviewers? It was awful. She mumbled her way through the songs, forgot the lyrics, rambled incoherently, how is that her back to her best exactly?

I saw Amy at Glastonbury and to be honest i was impressed at all. The band were excellent, especially the horn section and her two backing singers, but i'm sorry Amy, mumbling and stumbling through her songs was not what I call the stuff of legends ... I would suggest to everyone, don't be fooled by all the hype... Take a leaf out of Mr Diamond's performance on the Sunday, definitely the stuff of legends

I saw her Glastonbury performance and thought she was terrible! Her timing was off, she wasn't singing in tune and half the time she wasn't even singing into the mic. The best bit was when she stopped singing to introduce her band who were brilliant. Anyone who says that she performed well doesn't know anything about music. I'm afraid as a singer Amy Whinearse is very over-rated.
