Jon Ronson on
Comedian Jon Ronson maked two programmes from his experiences at the festival. Before going he outlined his plans.
"I want to make a Glastonbury documentary the likes of which has never been attempted before.
Most Glastonbury programmes focus on the music and on the swathes of presumably lovely but - let's face it - quite annoyingly self-satisfied performance artists who dress up in feather boas and wander around on stilts thinking they're better than suburban sheeple like me.
The way I see it, Glastonbury is about something else too. It is about a hundred thousand funny, tragic, bizarre, lovely human dramas being played out all at once over four intense days. Glastonbury is about people getting lost, and people getting found, it is about good and evil.
And that's what our two programmes will be about. We will tell unfolding human stories about the performers, the audience and the organisers. These will be programmes about what goes on inside Glastonbury's head."
Giles Wemmbley-Hogg goes off... to Glastonbury
One-off special where Marcus Brigstocke as the rather posh Giles Wemmbley Hogg goes to the Glastonbury Festival and reports back as if it was a foreign country, complete with his reactions to the music, the mayhem and the endless, endless, hummus.
