A tablet carousel can be used in a number of ways to display a selection of content items using thumbnail representations, with optional text components.
Images (galleries & slideshows), media (audio and video) and page items (category indexes and individual articles) can all use carousels to show the selection of content available.
The overall carousel widths shown in the example below, are a guide based on a 1024 x 768px device screen and will vary across other tablets dimensions. The thumbnails are 144 x 81pt.
Horizontal Carousel (with Power Scroll)
Multi-gestural interactions (such as sliding, flicking and tapping) across the thumbnail mechanism, allow a user to scroll through and select from the available content. A Power Scroll should also be provided, to facilitate quick browsing, when there are many items within a carousel.
