The coral plant is an evergreen scrambler which needs very specific growing conditions. Where the right combination occurs, this is a real winner, its flowers looking like rows of coral pink berries in late summer and early autumn they show up well since the plant leaves tend to grow upwards while the flowers hang down below them, underlining the rather weak stems with colour. Plants need support and look good scrambling over trellis or netting on a shady wall. They can also be grown through a tree or large shrub in a mild sheltered location.
