This enormous hosta is always one of the most popular plants at summer flower shows. Its huge, light green leaves tower above other plants and are joined in mid- to late summer by pale lavender, bell-shaped flowers on spikes 75cm tall. Apparently this Hosta is less likely to be attacked by slugs and snails. It can grow on chalky soil but the leaves may yellow so it's best on acid or neutral soil. The Royal Horticultural Society have given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit.
