One of the earliest daffodils to bloom, the bright yellow flowers of 'Golden Harvest' will brighten up the garden as early as February. It can tolerate most soils that are well-drained but moist during the growing season. Plant bulbs at one and half times their own depth in sun or partial shade. Daffodils will sometimes fail to flower. Common causes are bulbs being planted too shallowly, damage to the foliage the previous season, and clumps becoming too congested.
