A beautiful half-hardy climber with a profusion of blue, red and violet-purple, trumpet-shaped flowers, 8cm across, through summer until early autumn. Flowers have white throats and the twining stems are hairy. Though it is strictly a short-lived perennial it is best grown as an annual. It is easy to grow and can be sown where it is to flower.
