This is a noisette type, old fashioned, climbing rose. It has beautiful, pale pink to white, double flowers that are gloriously scented. The stems are slender and smooth, and the foliage is a pale green. A beautiful rose for the front wall of the house, where you can enjoy the fragrance every time you go in or out of the front door. For the first two years after planting, only cut out dead, diseased and damaged wood and train stems to horizontal wire supports. After that, prune the main shoots to fit the area, and reduce sideshoots to three or four buds. The Royal Horticultural Society have given it the Award of Garden Merit.
