Orange, egg-shape fruits follow the flowers. 'Amethyst' is a vigorous climber with smooth and narrow stems, and rich green, three-lobed leaves. It is a tender plant that may survive temperatures down to freezing point if the wood has had a chance to ripen well first over the summer.
