This beautiful variety of Japanese maple has an unusual upright habit and beautiful lobed leaves which turn crimson in autumn. To avoid the foliage becoming brown and frazzled, grow in moist but well-drained soil, out of bright sunlight and cold winds. The Royal Horticultural Society have given it their Award of Garden Merit (AGM) which is for plants of outstanding excellence.
