Small tree or large shrub with graceful, fern-like leaves tinted purple and deep purple-red young shoots. From winter to spring, fluffy yellow flowers are produced. Being tender, it is best suited to growing in a conservatory or greenhouse. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit.
