Floribunda rose

An easy-to-grow variety this floribunda rose is vigorous and and produces a bountiful supply of large porcelain-pink flowers. The blooms are full-petalled, long-lasting and fragrant. It's named for the company, Astra Zeneca, to mark the 50th anniversary of their major facility Alderley Park where important medicines have been discovered and developed. As a floribunda rose, it should be pruned from late-winter to early spring. Cut back the main stems to 25-45cm (10-18in) above the ground; pruning to just above an outward-facing bud. Reduce sideshoots to two or three buds. Remove any spindly or diseased growth. After pruning, apply a rose fertiliser and mulch around the plant.
