Taro is a tropical plant grown primarily as a vegetable food for its edible corm, and secondarily as a leaf vegetable.The plant can also be grown for its immense, spectacular foliage, adding a little bit of the tropics to your garden. Wonderful additions to the landscape, the corms can be planted in large containers or on the edges of frost-free ponds. Frost tender, grow them in full sun to partial shade in wet soil.
