You'll need to grow this rose against a dark-coloured wall for best effect: the Hybrid Tea flowers open from high-pointed buds to a ruffled mix of pale pink, apricot and orange. Avoid a white background because you won't see them. Alternatively, try it with contrasting strong-coloured climbers up a pergola, so that its strong scent wafts about as you pass through. Nip off the fading flowers quickly because they rapidly fade to a dull brown. Removing spent flowers will also generate a regular supply of new buds. An added plus is the glossy, shiny foliage.
