This is a favourite low maintenance shrub. Thanks to its bright yellow foliage, this choisya cultivar really stands out in the garden. It does not flower as profusely as C. ternata, but it usually produces a show of fragrant white flowers in early summer and sometimes again in autumn. When crushed, the leaves have a distinctive smell, which reminds many gardeners of basil.
