Growing to a height of less than 60cm (24in) 'Yakushima Dwarf' is an ideal grass for the front of the border or shrubbery. Clumps form short stout tufts of foliage which are green with white midribs. In mid/late summer small pink fluffy flowerheads emerge from the centre of the clump. These gradually turn to silver with age and will persist on plants well into the winter months. Avoid cutting back plants until spring as they will provide structure and interest throughout the winter.
