A beautiful hardy annual climber that originates from the rainforests of South America. It is covered with violet-purple, trumpet-shaped blooms throughout the summer months. It is a twining plant that is easy to grow and can be sown where it is to flower. It makes a good plant for the patio border and is excellent for brightening up walls and fences where it will mix happily with other more permanent plants. The flowers open wide in the early morning sun but are short-lived and will not last into the afternoon.
