A delightful early flowering viburnum, 'Deben' produces small clusters of pinkish-white, starry blooms throughout winter and early spring. These are complemented by the dark bronze-green new foliage. It forms an elegant upright shrub that is useful for adding height to the shrubbery or mixed border. The blooms have a rich sweet fragrance that will fill the spring garden. Shrubs can become overcrowded as they get older and will benefit from having some of their older shrubs thinned out.
