This unusual low growing narcissus produces bright golden, trumpet flowers that open wide giving the appearance of hoop petticoats. It make an excellent specimen plant for the cool glasshouse or alpine house. It is also good for naturalising in rough grass. It can tolerate most soils that are well-drained but moist during the growing season. Plant bulbs at one and half times their own depth in sun or partial shade.
