Luzula is a tough perennial grass that is at home on most soils, but is particularly tolerant of damp sites, making it ideal for use in bog gardens. The variety 'Aurea' produces a handsome clump of bright golden foliage that is the perfect compliment to perennial plantings. It also makes a good plant for winter containers in cold areas. This variety should be planted in a sunny spot as the colour of the foliage tends to fade in shade.
