Saxifraga is an excellent choice for a rock garden or stone trough. It has tiny, green rosettes of leaves, and in May and June masses of white flowers with pink spots appear on wiry stems. It grows well in full sun to partial shade, in well-drained but moist soil, preferably neutral to alkaline.
