Native to Korea and Manchuria, this tall shrub remains rare in cultivation but it is well worth searching out at nurseries. Exochorda is grown mainly for its lovely paper-white flowers that occur at the first hint of spring. Plants are suitable for most soils and are best planted in sun or partial shade.
