This South African tender perennial has become very popular in recent years, especially for patio container displays. This species has deep pink blooms which are held in tall, densely packed flower-heads. These cover the plant all summer long and look especially attractive next to the blue daisies of Felicia amelloides. To prolong flowering, remove the dead flowers as they fade. Plants are frost-tender and so it is best to either take cuttings in late summer or to lift plants before the first frosts and overwinter them indoors.
