Judges feedback
Diarmuid Gavin: "This is a garden of two parts - English and Oriental with nice touches such as use the of trellis to divide the space."

Andy Sturgeon: "It's a good, imaginative, design, pulling you through the space. The layered trellis is a nice feature, dividing the garden and seating areas and the planting uses lively colour and good textural combinations."

Joe Swift: "This garden has a nice, gentle flow about it and leads you though successfully. The height and shape of the plants is good, but may not work for an all-year round design."

Cleve West: "This feels like the design is trying to squeeze a little too much into a small space and the trellis areas could be stronger to really hold the attention."

Time to Stop and Stare Leah Turner - Silver medal Silver medal
Judges feedback
Andy Sturgeon: "This uses harmonious colour combinations with a well-placed focal point from the seat. The unusually shaped raised deck is an interesting feature, but a it's a bit impractical and it's a shame there is no alternative seating."

Joe Swift: "The shape of the deck and the water are original and the repetition in some of the planting works well. I'm not sure about the traditional water feature in a contemporary garden."

Cleve West: "There is some sensitive planting near the terrace but the decking platform is a bit mean in proportion and the pergola confuses the journey round the garden."

Diarmuid Gavin: "There's too much happening here, but it's quite quirky. But there are some strong ideas that need sorting."
