What to do
Choose a pot that is large enough to support your shrub and has drainage holes
Fill pots with John Innes 2 compost
Put a layer of broken pot at the bottom of containers to improve drainage
Water regularly, especially in hot weather
Feed plants by adding controlled-release fertiliser granules to compost
