Autumn lawn care
How to give your lawn a seasonal makeover.
What to do
If you have problem moss, deal with this first by spreading a mosskiller across the lawn.
Wait until the moss has died - it should take two weeks - and rake vigorously to remove along with old grass clippings and other debris.
Improve drainage by spiking with a garden fork. Push it into the lawn, wiggle it about and repeat every 10cm (4in).
Brush a sandy top dressing into the holes.
Finish by spreading an autumn lawn feed.
