Tuscan trials

This series followed London restaurateurs Giancarlo and Katie Caldesi as they attempted to make a success of a Tuscan cookery school.


Return to Tuscany followed London restaurateurs Giancarlo Caldesi and Katie Beresford as they attempted to make a success of a Tuscan cookery school. There were many obstacles in their path and the pressure was definitely on.

Episode one

Italian chef Giancarlo and his English partner Katie were embarking on a culinary adventure. They planned to open a cookery school in Tuscany. But first there were the plans for their June wedding, a huge family reunion, and the unpredictable Hotel Rotelle to deal with!

Episode two

Giancarlo and Katie faced a daunting task. They have just three short days to get everything ready for their dream wedding in Tuscany, and was rapidly turning into a nightmare.

Episode three

Giancarlo and Katie’s wedding day, the preparations went anything but smoothly. There was a major family row brewing over the cake, the wrong band turned up, and the bride got lost.

Episode four

Katie and Giancarlo were desperately searching for students to fill their Tuscan cookery school. They also opended a new cookery school in London, but the hour before press night the builders were still at work.

Katie was feeling the stress as her first students started to arrive in Tuscany. But little did she know what was store, when in the first week of cookery school her student chefs set the kitchen ablaze.

Episode six

As the cookery course wound to an end the student chefs took a last opportunity to visit some of the region’s ancient towns. However, things didn't end so smoothly, when a culinary catastrophe occured in their final test.

Episode seven

It was the end of week two of the cookery school, but the student chefs were still not getting along. Will the rift between them be patched up before its time for their final culinary challenge?

In this episode we saw Giancarlo and Katie’s cookery students fall sick and whether this will affected their skills in the kitchen.

Episode nine

A failing grape harvest, an ambitious culinary dish and more were all in store for Giancarlo and Katie’s students in their last week of culinary school.
