Lenny Henry and Nigel Slater

Lenny Henry

Cookery writer Nigel Slater met comedian Lenny Henry for a red nose through his past and favourite recipes.

Lenny Henry

Nigel met comedian, actor and Comic Relief champion, Lenny Henry, to trawl through the recipes that have made a lasting impression upon his life. Lenny discussed meeting his wife, Dawn French, and Nigel was challenged to cook a fry-up to match her high standards.

Lenny talked about his career and his growing up in the West Midlands, while enjoying a feast of treats from his past, such as Stuffed pig's trotters and Jamaican dumplings, and footballer Ian Wright dropped in and tested Lenny's cultural culinary skills with a demand for Ackee and saltfish.
