Simon Rimmer

New series

Simon Rimmer and the team are gearing up for a new series, due to hit our screens later this year. Have you got what it takes to run a restaurant kitchen for the day?

Appear on the programme

Recipe for Success (formerly Making a Meal of it) is looking for pairs of amateur cooks and restaurateurs to have a go at being head chef and front-of-house manager for the next series. Whether you're a connoisseur of fine French cuisine, an organic fanatic or an aspiring sushi chef, we're giving you the chance to devise your own menu and run our restaurant for a day.

The new series will give budding 'amateurs with attitude' the chance to cook up a storm. We supply the restaurant, the staff and the diners. All you need to do is cook fantastic food and serve it up with a smile.

To apply to be on the programme, download the application form, fill it in and email it to us at recipeforsuccess@bbc.co.uk. If you can stand the heat in the kitchen better than the others and make more money on your day than the other couples that week, then you'll also get to keep the whole week's profits, which could add up to £5,000.

You must be over 18, and we're looking for amateur chefs and restaurateurs only please. We welcome applications from teams of friends or couples.

Pilot series

Bob and Lyn Foot

In the pilot series, two prospective restaurateurs tried to run a restaurant for a week - if they could cut it in the kitchen, they got to pocket the profits. We followed food enthusiasts Bob and Lyn Foot for five days to see how they coped with the pressure.
