Competition rules

  1. This competition is open to UK residents only. Overseas entries will not be considered.
  2. You must be 18 years of age or older to take part in this competition.
  3. You must provide the BBC with your name and email address to enter this competition. Specific competitions may require additional details, but this will be notified on the site that hosts the competition. The BBC will only use your personal details for the purposes of administering this competition, and will not publish them or provide them to any other party without your permission.   4. Only one entry will be accepted per person.
  5. The site Editor's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  6. The winner will be drawn midday on Friday 14 October. The winner will be notified by the BBC Food team and the winner's name will be posted on the Food website.
  7. Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. There will be no cash alternatives.
  8. The prize includes on Wednesday 26 October 2005 (the night before the course) bed and breakfast accommodation at one of Rick Stein's Padstow hotels, for two people sharing a double or twin room. There will also be an evening meal served at Rick Stein's Padstow café. Accomodation and dinner are booked for Wednesday 26 October and cannot be changed to another date. Dinner can be chosen from the provided set menu at Rick Stein's Padstow Café to include either a bottle of house wine, or drinks to the equivalent value. The course date for the French Odyssey cookery course is Thursday 27 October and the winner and friend must be available for that date. No alternate dates will be offered. Winner and guest must make their own way to and from Padstow. The BBC will not cover travel expenses.
  9. The BBC does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries due to the internet or postal service. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
  10. Entrants must supply full details as required and comply with all rules to be eligible for the prizes. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.
  11. This BBC competition is not open to employees or contractors of the BBC, any person directly or indirectly involved in the BBC or the running of the competition, or their direct family members.
  12. The BBC reserves the right to cancel a competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  13. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering a competition. Entrants will also be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by any extra rules that appear on the site where the competition is hosted.
  14. These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  15. Competitions on the BBC are administered by the BBC.
