Chefs bluffed and gambled their way to winning dishes in this BBC Two series.


Friday 9 November

Simon Rimmer's Venison with wilted spinach, sweet potato and nutmeg mash and port gravy

Today's players were Simon Rimmer, Maria Elia, Theo Randall and Nicholas Watt.

Simon and Maria cooked seasonal venison recipes in the final round, but was Simon let down by his sauce? Watch a video recipe for Peppered loin of venison with red wine sauce.


Thursday 8 November

Peter Gordon

Martin Blunos, Jun Tanaka, Peter Gordon and Daniel Galmiche battled it out in today's game.

Jun and Peter prepared dishes using mushrooms in the final round, but was Peter's innovative Sea bass and mushroom sausage surprise a hit with the other chefs, or did it prove just too weird for their liking? Find more mushroom recipes.


Wednesday 7 November

Noel McMeel's Pan-fried garlic mushrooms with rosemary potatoes, crisp bacon and a soft-boiled egg

The chefs staking their reputations on the game today were Sophie Wright, Paul Rankin, Daniel Galmiche and Noel McMeel.

Noel and Daniel both went for the classic combo of bacon and egg in their final dishes, but were the other players won over by the Irish or French approach to the ingredients? Search for hundreds more bacon recipes.

Lawrence Keogh

Around the poker table today were Atul Kocchar, Jun Tanaka, Lawrence Keogh and Stuart Gillies.

Monday 5 November

Gennaro Contaldo

Today's players were Martin Blunos, Nicholas Watt, Gennaro Contaldo and Graham Garrett.
