Vanilla and orange rice pudding

  1. Place the rice into a pan with the milk, sugar and vanilla pod and seeds and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the rice is tender.

  2. Remove the vanilla pod, then stir in the orange zest and juice and cook for a further 1-2 minutes.

  3. Spoon the rice pudding into a serving bowl and drizzle over the golden syrup to serve.
