
Try thisThai-inspired cocktail for a revitalizing tonic.
3 purple basil leaves
1 passion fruit, pulp only
25ml/1fl oz fresh pineapple
1fl oz ginger lemongrass cordial
25ml/1fl oz gin
25ml/1fl oz Galliano, or similar anise and herb-flavoured liqueur
2 fresh kaffir lime leaves, for garnish
small flower, for garnish
Place the basil leaves and passion fruit pulp into a cocktail shaker and mash (muddle) together with the end of a rolling pin.
Add the pineapple juice, ginger lemongrass cordial, gin, Galliano and a handful of ice and shake hard. Strain the cocktail into a whiskey tumbler filled with crushed ice.
To serve, garnish with the kaffir lime leaves and flower.
