A few simple steps turn a gin cocktail into a lively summer granita.
Place all the ingredients into a large jug and mix well with a long-handled spoon.
Pour the mixture into a shallow freezerproof container. Freeze for one hour, then mix the granita with a fork; place back in the freezer and freeze for a further hour. Continue this twice more until the mixture is completely frozen. Once frozen, scrape with a fork to form fluffy ice and spoon into small glasses.
