Steamed pecan and honey pudding


Preparation method

  1. Beat the sugar and butter together.

  2. Add the eggs and fold in the flour.

  3. Add the orange and lemon zest.

  4. Grease a small, heat-resistant glass pudding bowl, then drizzle the honey inside the bowl.

  5. Pour the pudding mixture into the bowl.

  6. Cover the bowl with cling film and microwave the bowl on high for 4-5 minutes, or until the sponge is cooked.

  7. Remove sponge from microwave and discard the cling film.

  8. Tip the sponge out onto a flat plate.

  9. Top sponge with combined whipped cream and apple sauce and the nuts and serve while still hot.
