Spring smash

Savour the flavours of spring with a zingy, gin cocktail.


  • 8 fresh mint leaves, plus 1 sprig for garnish

  • 1 orange wedge

  • 1 lemon wedge

  • 2 tsp créme de pêche

  • 50ml/2fl oz gin

  • 25ml/1fl oz fresh apple and elderflower juice

  • 1 apple wedge, sliced into a fan shape, for garnish

Preparation method

  1. Place the mint and fruit into a cocktail shaker and mash (muddle) together with the end of a rolling pin.

  2. Add the créme de pêche, gin and apple and elderflower juice, and shake hard with a handful of ice.

  3. Strain the cocktail into a whisky tumbler filled with crushed iced and garnish with the apple fan and mint sprig.
