You can't beat homemade crumble. This easy version uses apples and plums to create a comforting dessert.
Preheat the oven to 190C/375F/Gas 5.
In a saucepan, cook the apple with 50g/2oz brown sugar and the cinnamon.
When the apples start to fall apart, take the fruit off the heat and add the plums and quince jelly.
For the crumble, put the butter and self-raising flour into a bowl. Using your fingertips, rub together until the texture resembles breadcrumbs. Add the porridge oats and mix well.
Place the fruit into a deep ovenproof dish. Top the mixture with the crumble and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crumble is golden-brown.
Type the ingredients you want to use, then click Go. For better results you can use quotation marks around phrases (e.g. "chicken breast"). Alternatively you can search by chef, programme, cuisine, diet, or dish (e.g. Lasagne).
