
Serve this simple onion salad on top of toasts or crispbreads as a canape or as part of a smörgåsbord.
Two red onions, peeled and finely chopped
120ml/4fl oz sour cream
1 jar Kalix caviar
4 slices sourdough or rye bread, toasted
Cut the toast into triangles on a serving platter. Top each toast with a small pile of onions, a spoonful of sour cream and a small spoonful of caviar.
Serve with a glass of aquavit.
