The Hummingbird’s combination of lime juice and tequila will get your juices flowing.


  • 4 tangerine sage leaves (available from garden centres), bruised

  • 20ml/¾fl oz fresh lime juice

  • 2tsp grenadine

  • 50ml/2fl oz silver tequila

  • rubbed sage leaf, to garnish

Preparation method

  1. Place the bruised tangerine leaves, lime juice, grenadine and tequila into a cocktail shaker. Add a handful of ice and shake hard.

  2. Strain the cocktail into a chilled coupette glass and garnish with the rubbed sage leaf.
