
A spicy yoghurt marinade tenderises rump steak - a cut that is full of flavour.
Pound the spices, peppercorns and garlic in a pestle and mortar into a spicy garlicky paste. Stir in the yoghurt.
Rub the yoghurt marinade into the steak and set aside to marinate at room temperature for half an hour.
Heat a griddle pan over a high heat until very hot. Fry the steak for a few minutes on each side. Set aside on a warm plate to rest for 2-3 minutes.
Serve with salad or slice into strips and fill a soft white roll for a luxurious steak bap.
