20 fresh mint leaves
2 tsp white sugar
50ml/2fl oz blended scotch whisky
1 tbsp ginger cordial
ginger ale, to top up
1. Place the mint and sugar into a cocktail shaker and mash (muddle) with the end of a clean rolling pin.
2. Add the whisky, ginger cordial and a handful of crushed ice. Mix well with a long spoon, then pour into a highball glass and top up with ginger ale.
